Despite its small size, Qatar is the largest exporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the world, with 107.1 billion cubic meters exported in 2019. To reduce the economy’s reliance on hydrocarbons, Qatar is diversifying its economy into new and future economy areas.
The Qatar Free Zones Authority oversees two Free Zones – & Umm Alhoul & Ras Bufontas, which are 30 minutes from Doha city where they seek to attract foreign companies to set up in three key sectors: Logistics, Technology, & Chemicals.
